The folded ribbon tweeter has many times the surface area of a conventional tweeter, allowing it to move much more air, and handle a large amount of power. Additionally, the pinching action of the pleats "supercharges" the air in front of the speaker, and a much greater sense of dynamic impact is created at your listening position, without losing any of the time accuracy or subtle detail of the musical event.
Horn-loading this tweeter makes it more linear, amazingly efficient, and capable of extending more deeply into the lower mid-range.
